Rajasthan, Bhangarh Fort








Home to a majestic fort, this abandoned town in Rajasthan is considered one of the most haunted places in India. Bhangarh and its ruins are closed to visitors from sunset to sunrise, the time reportedly with the highest paranormal activity in the complex. According to a story about Bhangarh, a Tantric priest fell in love with Princess Ratnavati, who was said to be the 'Jewel of Rajasthan'. The priest planned to cast a spell on him so that he would fall for her too. However, when the princess came to know about this plan, the priest died. He had cursed the city before he died. Now, ruined it is not habitable for anyone else. It is believed that the roofs of temples and houses fall as soon as they are built. Those who have dared to stay in the fort overnight have reported the footsteps and screams of a woman.

It is one of the most beautiful places in Delhi during the day, but at night the story is different. There is said to be an infamous, ghostly hitchhiker in the road leading to the Delhi Cantonment, who wanders passersby to stop his cars, dressed in white, waving, aimlessly. It is believed that those who have agreed to give him a ride are never seen again. And those who do not stop have claimed that the woman walks parallel to their window, matching the speed of the car until they reach the limits of Delhi Cantonment.


Surat, Gujarat, Dumas Beach













This black-and-sand beach of Gujarat was once an important Hindu cremation ground, and it is history that gives it a formidable edge. The pleasant atmosphere in the morning with the setting sun fades and the locals avoid Dumas Beach at night as much as they can. From screams to whispers, people have reportedly heard ghostly voices coming from Dumas, called the spirits of tormented souls. Some attribute the black sand to the ashes of the burnt corpses and, above all, it is said of the dogs nearby that they barked throughout the night sensing a paranormal presence. Everything about Dumas beach makes it the last place you wouldn't want to stay the night.

Very scary place is this mill built in 1870. Closed after a major fire in the 1980s, the mill was left in a dilapidated condition. Now that it is a prime shooting location for Bollywood movies, several stars and crew members have claimed to have witnessed paranormal activity in certain areas of the mill. Some people swear that they will never return to that place and some who do their job well before sunset.


Andhra Pradesh, Ramoji Film City













One of the largest film complexes in India, Ramoji Film Studio is also said to be the home of various spirits who roam in and around the hotel. Ramoji built on the battlefield is believed to be surrounded by spirits of dead soldiers who are still active on the field. Mirrors falling to the ground under obscure conditions, strange traces of props and crew members, and scattered around are some common occurrences to be reported in phantom food studios.

According to legend, a prince and heir to the Peshwa throne was brutally murdered in Shaniwar Wada.
